Those foreclosure homes are a good deal, but sometimes when people know they're gone, they start tearing stuff up on purpose and what you are left with is a bunch of electric problems to figure out and a lot of carpet/wall, any other kinds of problems. Plus, my brother bought one through HUDD that was in good shape... it's a pain in the ***. My dad and I finally resolved the whole lean by going to the courthouse and spending 3 hours in the basement going through records to figure out it was a woman from our church who signed the loan papers that were giving us all the trouble. They kept saying there was a lean on the property, and no one could figure out what it was. My dad said that crap is public record, and we found it in the courthouse... so be ready, it's a good deal, but you get what you pay for sometimes.

LadyT here: Dude! That's the decorating DREAM for me!!!! Hey Wayne - I know how I wanna paint the living room!!!!

We looked at a house once that the people just left. They left food on the frig that you would not believe the smell. They also allowed the cat to do it's business on the floor. The people were too lazy to clean the litter box. The realty lady kept trying to get us to sign papers for the place right then and there. We told her wr wanted a day or two to think things over. Not 2 hrs later she called wanting to know if we were ready to sign. She got mad and hung up when we told her, "No."

I'm not signing papers on a house I just looked at. Some people might, but I'm not. Not when you're attached to this place for years to come.

This is LadyT's favorite place. It doesn't have an attached garage, but it DOES have a pole barn & a regular barn. It's about 110 years old: You need to go to the 1st link and check out the pics full screen.

3 Bed, 2 Bath | 1,984 Sq Ft, $94,900

Here's the kicker on this place I got a lead on a toolmakers job today from my boss. I called them and they are interested. It's not TOO far from this place!

Looks great, Older houses are full of character. Looks like some of the major updates have been done. Seems to be fairly modernized but still plenty of stuff you can doo to make it your home. Good luck.
