You just could not get a normal invisible car for a DD could you. Just have to feel the pep waiting under your right foot .

You are enjoying the Goat from how I read your responses. Awesome, nice you found a platform that has what it takes to keep a Vette owner pacified out there on the road.

Did you go to the 1 Mile AZ Race Wars event last month?

 

I definitely wanted something 'fun' to drive, at least equal to the old GXP. I usually keep my cars a long time and I drive a lot on my daily commute, so I want something I'm not going to be bored with in a week.

The color was just a bonus as I really fell in love with it. I will admit, the blue interior took some getting used to though. I certainly would've been totally happy with a silver GXP or CTS-V or something like that though.

I am really enjoying it so far. I'll admit I second guessed my decision of going with a manual about a week in. There was a major wreck that led to a 2 hour 1 way drive that was nearly all stop and go. Luckily that's not normal and its been fine since.

Unfortunately I did not. I missed Street Car Takeover and No Fly Zone 1/2 mile laat weekend too.

For Race Wars, I had 2 issues: 1) it was WAY too far away, almost to NM. It was like a 5 hour 1 way trip. I don't have a trailer, and it would be tough to get someone to come get me if I blew up the vette that far out. 2) Only reason I'd like to do something longer than 1/2 mile would be to hit 200, and the vette has zero chance at the current power, especially with that terrible DA. I think it would need another 100-150 whp and that's just not happening on my current blower and stock cam.

I do wish I would've done the other events though. It was just too soon to buying a car. I'd hate to get a string of bad luck - find out the GTO has a bad X (tranny, engine, rear end, etc) that i misaed during inspection, then blow up the vette the same weekend and be left with the monte to have to daily drive and thousands in repairs to do.
