It would be nice to know what cars are involved in this recall.

I can honestly say my Honda has been more reliable than my GM.

Ford issues recalls there just half assed in doing so, like the Ford Freestar 04-07 all use the same faulty torque converters yet only 04-05 is covered under recalls and GM wouldnt fix my sierra faulty gauges cuz it had over 100k miles yet when they checked it it had 85k and the recall was for faulty milage readings

GM issued a policy bulletin regarding the gauge clusters, but never had an official recall. The gauges would operate erratically, stick or not work at all. This included the speedometer, but it did not effect the odometer reading - only the mph displayed.
