What was Times Square called originally?

Longacre Square

Olympia

Pioneer Square


A) is correct. Originally called Longacre Square, Times Square got its name in April of 1904 when the publisher of the New York Times moved its operation to a building in this area.

I'm pretty sure it was called Olympia back in 3000 B.C. (before Wikipedia) Somewhere I have a stone tablet (original iPad) around here with the documentation...
