Default push button start on my buddies old ford... lol gotta watch!

ok, so the lock cylinder on my buddies old ford f150 locked up. we decided to just rewire the whole system for the joy of it and he called me because he knows i love electrical. after a few cuts and connections here and there, we have ourselfs a running vehicle. the first switch turns on the keyed "accessory power" and the next powers a relay to crank. heres the final result. inconspicuous and looks profesional!

My 1948 Plymouth has a push button starter. But that's from the factory.

lol my '51 dodge p/u had one too. also had a manual choke

thats really not a bad install on the switch, and what better thing to practice on than a worn out old f150.

my cousin had a similar problem with his f150, but he just hacked the switch apart with bolt cutters untill the key just spun around, then had to hotwire it to start it. i'll take a pushbutton over that any day

Did yall see that Pawn Stars where the guy tried to pawn that beat up 65 Impala wagon with the 454 wedged in without the air filter? That guy was proud of his super rigged up looking push button starter.
