Default Public Debut of Camaro Z/28?

Thought this was interesting and you guys may also:

A couple of Internet sites are now saying that the Camaro Z/28 model will be introduced at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show in February. The next Camaro model after the convertible is expected to draw inspiration from the historic nameplate.

egmCarTech has posted, “egmCarTech now has confirmation from its sources at General Motors that the Camaro Z28 will make its public debut at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show on February 9. That means the debut of the Camaro Z28 will take place the same month that the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible goes on sale.”
Prior information released at a GM dealer conference indicated that production of a “High Performance Edition” would begin early in January of next year. There has not been any reference which has used the Z/28 designation exactly, which has caused some angst over the model’s final designation.
That same dealer conference confirmed that the new model would include a 6.2L supercharged engine and magnetic ride suspension. The latest variant in the Camaro line, the convertible, is due for arrival in dealer showrooms next month. Camaro sales in 2010 beat out those of the Mustang, its primary competitor. Mustang convertible sales historically, have represented one third of the total. It remains to be seen if the new Camaro model will add to or subtract from the hardtop’s sales.

I don't see them adding another trim to the already huge list.

1ls, 2ls, 1lt, 2lt, 1ss, 2ss, 1le, zl1

Yeah, but really there's not that many, ls, lt, ss, le, zl1, then there's the copo but that's not a street car. They would probably get rid of the SS, LE or ZL1 if they were to bring the Z/28 back

idk if they'd wanna drop the SS, it's always been the SS and Z/28... They should go back to offering the 1LE as a package of the SS or Z/28.. SS having a different hood like before and the Z/28 being the basic looking SS type.

Then again this doesn't make sense because everyone wants the Z/28 to be this big, new, huge thing..
