How many enjoy the pleasures of the PS3? I'm looking for opinions on call of duty:modern warfare and assassins creed, if anyone owns these two games. And how's the online COD online play?

 

Hey I would recommend Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, even though the original Modern warfare is plenty active online, MW2 broke records for most sold, so the online community must be overwhelming and very active. My younger brothers has the sequel and he's constantly online.
I also own a ps3, its enjoyable.
I still play the original MW.

 

I got one last year while going through surgery and haven't hooked it up to the internet yet. I got to get my router set up. I'm thinking about getting COD:MW2 (not the first game, my mistake) and Assassins creed 2(since I own the first one and like it). I even go an online game by mistake and it's been collecting dust inside the cabinet ever since. BTW, does anyone plays Battlefield 2?

 

I use to frequent the scene alot back in the xbox years. sorta loss interest after a good while. but now i am wondering about the ps3

I would love the ps3 to be hacked, but not for games but to enable a better media system then it is already.

that being said has there been any way to get .mkv playing on it yet (preferable h264) and since h264 mp4 don't play nor the same in an avi container, the same question goes for them also.

I don't know if it can be hacked to play H264/.mkv formats, or know of anyone that has done it. I certainly won't be doing it to mine any time soon since the dang thing cost me a fortune. It's pretty nice that it can play Blue Ray/DVD's. I'm happy with my lappy playing everything else since it's got HDMI and it's connected straight into the LCD TV.

Kool! Once I get my wireless router hooked I'll be on the look out. I'm also into BF2 and BF2142, if anyone plays them. LN:OFF is the nick on the last 2. Probably for COD5 the nick will be OFF as well.
