Proud of my son (even if he does drive a Honda, LOL)
My son is 20 years old. He went to work for Discount Tire a little over a year ago while he was taking an automotive tech course. He ended up dropping the tech course. About a month ago he went full time for DT and is now head salesman and one of the assistant managers. The Waco area stores are part of the Dallas region so there are around 80 stores with between 400 and 500 salespeople.Last month he was 4th overall in sales which says a lot since I'm sure the Dallas stores see more people than the Waco stores do. I thought that was pretty dang good. His boss told him he had no doubt in his mind that he'd be able to move up even higher in the management chain.
One of his friends completed the tech course and got a job at a dealership. He's making about half of what Cody's making and working longer, harder hours. Cody can always work on cars on the side, but I think he might have found his niche. He can retire from there in 20 years with a pretty good retirement too.[/align]

See? It pays off to have you and your friends doing all those burnouts and donuts in their cars. He sells more tires that way!
Congrats to him on his deserved accomplishments! Glad to see it's working out for him.

I know it's not like being a brain surgeon or something, but I have an idea of what his boss makes, and let's just put it this way, he's not hurting any , he's doing VERY well.

Say. I could use a better paying job myself.
