Hi Dave. Theres an old saying. If I have to explain...You'll never understand ......It's a long story and i don't think you have the time to listen to why i feel this way!
Oh, I understand, Rick. I've been riding / commuting daily for 20+ years. Lots of riding buddies over the years have been reeeeeally attached to one brand or another; Harley is certainly one of them. I started on a Harley, but my riding style evolved over those first few years. I've been hooked on sport-touring bikes ever since. No particular brand - I've owned BMW, Honda, and now Yamaha sport touring bikes. If Harley ever makes a sport touring bike, I'd certainly consider it!
Good luck in your search for a good used Harley. There are generally many available. Like always, it all comes down to finding a good deal on one you like. I've seen some really good buys lately. The sluggish economy can be good for buyers.
The fact that you forgot your camera shows how excited you were for the run.
Or maybe it was the fact that we were running late... Me: Your hair looks fine honey. No one will care anyway, you'll be wearing a helmet. Wife: {evil glare}
I was pretty excited, too, so maybe that contributed.
