Default Picking up a newer car tomorrow

As I stated in my post in my intro, I work in a Ford dealer. Well my 96 Monte just rolled over 293k miles last week and since it was a cheap car and I've gotten my use out of it.. that I'm due for an upgrade.

So tomorrow I'm picking up this 04 from my work. 112k, cloth interior, a/c, cruise, moonroof, and duel climate.

It could use a RF wheelbearing (making noise) and the Multifunction switch won't click into high beam, won't click when you pull it back to activate the high beams, only flashes.

congrats on the new purchase, we have an 04 and love it, so you will prob be more than happy with yours sounds like you got your money's worth out of the 96.

The problems you stated with the 04 are fairly minimal and just normal wear and tear, which is nice as from the pic it doesn't appear to be abused and it has low km's which is also nice.

Post some more pics when you get her home

I'd say that I did.. i bought it with 250k on it, exactly haha

and I only paid 841$ with tax, title and license.. and basically had to put rear struts, a tire I got free from work, a water pump, radiator, and 2 cam sensors.

It needs wheel bearings, and the rear cylinder head is leaking coolant. also needs front struts and strut mounts so its just not fesible to keep it.

So upgrading is my best option. Plus it'll be able for me to spend more time with my daughter with a more reliable car.

It's got a small rust spot in the left rear fender well, but besides that I didn't see any other problematic spots.

I'm not worried about the normal wear and tear.. I can just go into work and order parts and use my lift and work in a heated shop with air tools and a lift (kind of a perk)

I'll wash it after work Tuesday and take a few pictures using a better camera than my phone (picture above was taken with my phone)

293,000 miles. Wow. Is that on a 3.1 engine? That's pretty damn good for a 3.1 litre.
