yessir i agree with ya there GPD, i just bought the led zepplin 2 cd set "mother ship" and i listen to it quite often, but i do hear similitaries tho it could just be me

 

To me it sounds like one starts on an upbeat and the other starts on a down beat.

 

By the way, way off topic.....

They do seem to share a similar beat. But they are both great songs that I listen to.

 

i think they sound similar but i can easily tell the difference between the 2 so idk i had to say no b/c to me they just rnt that similar

 

I agree 100% with ya GPD. It sounds like they liked the Led Zep song and wanted to do their own version of it, but changed it just enough to avoid paying royalties.

Personally, I think they're riding the line of "blatant rip-off".

 

Tell that to George Harrison. He was sued by a group (Not exactly sure possibly the members of the Platters) cause they said his song My Sweet Lord was rip off of their song My Prayer. They won.

Not to be outdone George wrote another song to the same music.
