LOL Yeah, I like to tell people I got my cars into a magazine, then I show them the pic. It's good for a few laughs. I've never sent in for/made it into reader's rides.

I remember your Grand Prix - I used to own an SE the same color - I loved that car (even though it only had the 3.1)

Great work you did with the Grand Prix Mel!

But I can't seem to find a car in the last picture of post #53.

Here's my other ride, although she's been out of commission since last April. Its my 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix LE. I purchased her for $890 to replace my 76 Monte as the daily driver. She came fully loaded with a 305 V8, 4-barrel carb (computer controlled), 200-4R automatic, 14-inch aluminum Turbine wheels, dual sport mirrors, bucket seats, floor console with shifter, working factory AM/FM/Cassette stereo (cassette player doesn't work though) with working power antenna, factory rally gauges with tach, rear window defogger, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, and air conditioning. I was forced to put her into storage and return my Monte to daily driving duties because the GP's 305 decided to spin a bearing and develop a really loud knock. I have in my garage a rebuilt 305HO (with a Comp Cam's 260H cam) out of an 86 T/A. As a matter of fact, I just recently scored a like-new Edelbrock Performer intake for it for $70 off of craigslist (they go for $130 new). I also just ordered the final pieces I wanted to get for it with my tax return money today. Gotta clean up and detail the engine compartment before putting in the new engine, though. She does need a little work. Needs new headliner and carpet and the sun visors, front and back seats need to be recovered. I put a dent in the quarter panel when I was putting her in storage, which sucks, but it can easily be pulled. I have other future plans for it, but once she's going again, she'll be just a driver.

I'm with Taz... is there a car in post #53, cuz I don't see one??

Nice Vette.... what year is that?

and that is DEFINETLY one of the nicest Grand Prix GTP's i've seen! Most of those turn into complete rust buckets around here. I did convince a friend of mine to pick up an 06 Bonneville GTP, has a 4.6 V8!!! WOW,what a beast!

That 86 Grand Prix certainly has some potential. It will look amazing when it's complete!! Good luck!
