Question Opinions on the Chevy SSR

Hey everyone.......I am just curious about your opinions on the Chevy SSR.
This was or is still a really neat looking vehicle. It's out of production
but it would be interesting to learn of the production numbers and what
they are reselling for now. I have seen some as low as $18,000.00 and
some as high as $40,000.00. I am NOT LOOKING TO BUY one just curious
as to what all of you think of..............

What do you think.......... ?

A little under 25,000 total SSRs were made.

I personally think they were great when they put the LS2 in them. I've seen quite a few on the roads, and everytime they were such a big head turner. It was a shame to see them go, but they really weren't selling. People just preferred the Corvette I think.

It was more of a novelty thing than anything else. It had the practicality of a Corvette, the looks of a truck, without the ability to use it as a truck, and probably didn't handle as well as the Corvette. It was just something neat to look at. It looks like a retro of the 40's Chevy trucks to me.... but I wouldn't have one anyway, either.

Honestly, I think they're awesome to see on the roads. A few people around here have them. If I had the cash to buy one though at retail or even now, I probably wouldn't bother.

I agree that they aren't very practical. I think the only thing that you want to haul
in it would be groceries and maybe your laundry But it's just a toy in my
opinion. Don't know how fast they are but I've seen a few moving pretty good
down the hwy. There are several of these things in the central part of the state.
I would probably own one if I had the means. It's a nice little Cruiser for the
weekends or if you live on the coast; a nice beach cruiser.
