Thanks, Greg!! I hope it can take off!

I ended up using the GoPro studio editing program which is available for free from their website.
Wow! Didn't even know GoPro had their own editing software! DOWNLOADING IT NOW!! Thanks for the info!

Josh, the Hero 1 is pretty limited in it's features as far as WiFi connectivity.

Other than that, minus a couple of minor things it's damn near identical to the Hero 3 White edition. The black edition is better with 1080p framerate and photos per second. Nothing that really matters because if you throw stuff on YouTube 720p is more than good enough.

One thing to look into, which I plan on getting also:

Helmet Extension Arm Self Arm Mount for GoPro Hero 1 2 3 Sport Camera Camcorder | eBay

Just to get some angles further from the car. I'm probably going to order it after I sell this laptop here soon.

There are actually as one could imagine numerous upgrades the 3 has the original does not have. The ones I like are having Lo-light recording, 50% lighter & smaller, class 10 micro sd card up to 64gb, enhanced audio capture, wide angle lense, wearable mount points and the myriad of video up to 30fps / stills up to 60fps options, waterproof without exterior case.

At any rate, any GoPro a person does have will suffice for what we will be doing, not like it has to be anymore high tech than it already is. They are all awesome cameras. Will be fun to see what, when, where and how we are using them to bring our cars to life.

I've got a Hero 3 Black.

Haven't used it too much.

First couple times were just doing some WOT runs in my GP.

Then took it to Hawaii, and strapped it to the rental Fiat 500 for a twisty mountain road run. Lastly, just used it to take some underwater video as we were snorkeling out there.

Still haven't tried it on the vette or the monte.

My only complaint so far is the sound. With the open back, there is a good bit of wind noise once you get rolling much over 30 or so (depending where you mount the camera). The closed back helps with the wind, but kinda kills the exhaust sound, especially with quieter exhaust.
