Notice any license plate ... oddities?
We've seen witty/interesting license plates, such as these in IL:
BMW AT 40, Pontiac Grand Am
TUTH D K, Honda Civic coupe
...BUT ... have you noticed any plate ... ODDITIES?
One morning on the way to work, I happened to glance in my rear-view mirror ... and thought I saw the word "S E X" on a license plate. As I waited to turn left off Route 58 onto Barrington Rd, the vehicle went past ... and I looked at the rear license plate ... and noticed that it was a generic IL plate that had "X35" as the first 3 characters. Wonder how THAT got past the IL sensors...?!!

how did x35 get by? how about this one in pennsylvania, at my old high school i seen an 80,s camaro (white at that!)with JIZZ spelled out on the rear tag! NO LIE !! ive also seen IWU2WME.(I WONT YOU TO WONT ME). ive seen others, but those 2 are my fav,s!

LOL! Probably because nobody bothered to see what it might look like when looking at it via a rearview mirror.....
Just another reason IL shouldn't have front license plates ... he he.

Here in Ontario it takes 8 weeks to get a personal plate. And they ask you what your plate means when you apply for it.
During the 8 weeks, a panel of employees (don't know how many), scrutinizes each personal plate. Reading them backwards is one of them.
I don't know how X35 got by. But kudos to the owner of the plate!

i saw one the other day (yesterday? day before? ehh don't remember....) that was 800 85x. in RI you can only have up to 6 characters on your plate. up till about a year or two ago, if you didn't want a vanity/custom plate you just got one like RA 645. always two random letters then three random numbers. i guess they ran out of combos because they've started using 6 numbers, and they have it split up into two little groups of threes. so i didn't notice the 800 85x until after sitting behind it at a light for a couple minutes. i did chuckle at it.

Can't think of any off hand that I've seen... Lately short and long term memory have both gone on the fritz.... Wait, what was I saying??? Huh? Where am I? Why are you stareing at me???
