id say get what you truly want and to heck with the rest.
Yeah, many honda people are loyal to their cars. No, I don't hate them for it. I just personally figure if you are going to turn your car into a bullit, make it a safe bullit.
I do like some of the hondas around here, and I would get one if I were looking for a daily/ autocross tear up car.

A friend of mine who is a Toyota guy asked me why I have a "Chick" car. ??

He's driving a Toyota Corolla S & his wife has a Toyota Sienna Mini van. In my book - those are "Chick" cars! I know he likes his Toyotas & doesn't like American cars - but, I never banged on his rides--till now!

I don't think it's a jealousy thing... I think he's more mad 'cause he can't fix his own rides.

Well since he's a friend you might not want to do this, but I was going to say... Ask him to do a break test near a brick wall or a cliff. Something tells me he won't be able to stop.

I would not classify a Monte as a chick car. Chick cars are cute. Montes are not cute, they are badass!
That being said, my wife likes her gtp better than my Monte. Something about "big blind spots, heavy and long doors, blah blah blah".
