[align=center]Hi `Members,[/align][align=center][:-][/align][align=center]I just received a call from the Attorney that's handling[/align][align=center]the estate that my 86SS is involved.[/align][align=center][/align][align=center]I learned that I will not be getting `it. : ([/align][align=center]The deceased owner's son contested his father's[/align][align=center]will, because he did not get it.[/align][align=center](The family didn't want him to have it),[/align][align=center]but to settle the estate he withdrew his objection,[/align][align=center]`if he could get the Monte.[/align][align=center]They settled, he got `it : ([/align][align=center][/align][align=center]I am getting my deposit back with interest, plus[/align][align=center]they are given me $500 for maintaining the Monte[/align][align=center]since their father's death.[/align][align=center][/align][align=center]Life sure is full of obstacles, and change.[/align][align=center]I now must find another dream `Monte.[/align][align=center]I really loved that 86SS, & have spend many[/align][align=center]days cleaning her, like I loved her.[/align][align=center][/align][align=center]Just thought I let you know what happened.[/align][align=center]I shall return when I find my `dream.[/align][align=center][/align][align=center]Good Luck to all, Peace/Out[/align][align=center]`Space[/align]

You'll find something else.

Your line "I'll return when I find another dream"... you don't have to have a Monte to participate.. you ahd a Monte, and you love Monte's.. and I feel you are perfectly within your rights to stay here, you don't have to leave just because the courts took your Monte like that....

Stick around... heck, you might even find somebody here willing to sell a Monte Carlo.

Please don't let this get you down. I know most would take this as a negative thing in their life. Show life you're not letting this get to you. Smack it back, hold your head up, and pronounce loudly "I will get the Monte Carlo of my dreams no matter what!"

Then call the pizza guy and have one delivered. Eat it with the confidence a Monte will once again fill your dreams.

One of the dealers had a purple '06 or '07 SS the other week, don't know if they still have it or not, but they've got a few '00-'05s out there too.

 

It wouldn't be the same around here without you Space ... just stay-put and continue to impart your unique and important contributions to the Monte Carlo Forum. Only you can do the Unique, centered, animated artwork added Posts in reply to the needs of new and veteran members.

I saw in a Dayton newspaper a Chevy dealer has a loaded blue 2006 SS with 24k/miles. Price is $18k.

Want me to test drive it for you Space and report back with my recommendation?

DON'T FORGET> You are entitled to place an Express Mechanics Lien on the Monte for all work and labor you have done at the highest prevailing rate for Labor in your State. THAT is the LAW. You can submitt a Bill for all the time and effort you have put-in on the Monte while it was in your possession.

The Law of the Express Mechanics Lien is very clear and easily understood. THE ONLY hitch in it is POSSESSION ... your Lien expires when you don't have Possession.

I charge $95.00 an Hour for any kind of work I do on a MotorVehicle. That includes Windex and Paper towels as I keep them on my toolbox. Why don't you prepare a Bill for all the work you've done and don't surrender the car until your Bill is Paid in Full ... and, ... Mr. SpaceRider ... I'd prepare them a whopper of a Bill ... very close to what the Car is worth if not more!

I know The Monte Carlo Forum is a "No ****** Zone" ... but, this ain't being a ***** v... this is following the letter of The Laws of these United States.
I recommend you do it!
Send the Bill to the Attorney.
Don't give them the car until its Paid!!!

Order the pizza like rj suggested. Then when the delivery guy shows up, steal his Monte. (just kidding).

I believe that this one just wasn't meant to be. The one that was meant to be is still out there.
