Congrats on the new toy Wayne! That's an awesome Chevelle. My friend has a 69 with a 350 in it and it's pretty sweet! Good find on this one!

Looks great. You cant go wrong with a Red SS in my opinion. Also I never seen an atm that you could get more than 200 dollars from so you must have got a steal.

Under the hood is the original 402. It's got an Edelbrock Performer cam and intake, a Holley carb, headers, and a chrome air cleaner. All the stock pieces are in the trunk, including the carb, cowl induction air cleaner, and exhaust manifolds. The original cam and intake manifold are in Edelbrock boxes. It's got Summit chrome valve covers that I want to change back to either original orange ones, or factory chrome ones. It has a lifter that ticks every now and then. Might be a good time to change the valve cover also.

Wayne NICE find. I know your pumped. I just sold my 70 Chevelle in Nov. I miss it a little. But I want to get back into Motorcycles again. You should have a blast making that your own. Congrat's on your New Toy.

Wayne: There's plenty of catalogs to get New parts for the Chevelle. Most are free for the asking. You never said what size rear gears it has ?
