Congrats! I haven't seen one of those in a while. I wanted one when they first came out.

Thanks! I thought so too considering there's a total of 5 in the area/surrounding are of me for sale and the one with the lowest miles has 103k and they want $9,995. This total of 5 also includes its twin version the Mitsubishi 3000 GT so not too bad. I don't think the price was too terrible either considering one of the other ones is a guy on craigslist with a bronze colored one with 173k asking $7,300 anyway I'm overjoyed lol good mpg already has a nice aftermarket exhaust (still waiting for decent weather to crawl under it and try and figure out what kind) and it'll save us money I'd be spending on gas which is good since me and the fiancé are expecting a baby apparently.

Got it plated today and drove er around a bit. Got her a wash too and found no leaks in the window or sunroof seals can't wait until it warms up so I can give it a wax. Also waiting until the tanks about empty to figure what my MPGs are but so far it seems great.

I pick up a big block, 4 speed, numbers matching '72 Chevelle SS on Friday.

But I think you made a good buy yourself.
ANYTHING is better than a MINI VAN! I seen a bumper sticker a few years back saying: "Mini vans are the proof of existence of evil". They have there purpose. We just don't have that need, PERIOD!

Nice car you got at a GREAT price!

Thanks man! I'd found your thread looks like a good project. LOVE Chevelles even though we have a kid on the way a minivan is NEVER in the future I'll do an SUV but that's my limit. If it can't go through mud or go moderately fast or look good its not for me lol

I've had and driven just about everything ever made in my 43 years of driving. SUV's are OK, but at least around here, it seems about 50% of the roll overs are SUV's. We had a Durango roll a week ago on the way to work. Problem with them is they are TOO tall and TOO heavy. Going fast is a bad thing if you can't stop and control them. That's what make the Subaru's such a nice vehicle. They have the AWD, but are still low to the ground. It's physics. Center of gravity. It's hard to roll a car, especially the one you just got. Take an 8,000# Excursion and they aren't nimble. They roll in a heartbeat. Same with the Escalades. I've seen more of those 2 vehicles on their roofs than ANY other vehicle. Dozens. People don't know how to drive on icy roads. They feel they are big and safe. NOT! Especially to other cars!

My Intimidator SS is my winter car. It will get parked and insurance pulled after the Monte Nationals, and probably before that too. I wouldn't drive another SUV in the winter no way no how! I like my Monte Carlo!

Stay safe!
