New 09 Camaro with 3.9!?
So supposedly the V-6 version of the new comaro is goin to have the 3.9 L
Taken from http://www.camaro5.com/?p=47"General Motors has gone the extra mile to ensure the production 2009 Chevrolet Camaro is as close to the concept version as possible. Rather than using the exact same Zeta platform as the Holden Commodore and Pontiac G8, GM made the front axle centerline on the Camaro about 50mm further forward than on the two sedans, according to Motor Trend. The expensive change was made to allow the Camaro and Impala to fit 20-inch wheels without compromising steering lock and turning radius. A Holden source told the magazine the car could even fit 24-inch wheels without issue, although that’s not likely to actually happen. At the Detroit auto show, GM officials again insisted the production Camaro would be very close to the concept; nearly identical, they say. According to the Motor Trend sources, the only visual differences will be a roofline about 3/5ths of an inch higher than concept, and an overall width reduction of about a third of an inch. In terms of MSRP, GM sources told the magazine a V6 model will retail from $21,000.It will feature a 3.9-liter powerplant with a six speed automatic or manual. It promises to be considerably smoother than the truck-like 4.0-liter V6 under the hood of the base Mustang."
Im guessing Mods are on the way!

Below is a Pontiac GXP with a 3.9L 270 HPI thought that GM may put the 3.6L in the Camaro. But `if they tweak the 3.9L for the Camaro V6, then it willbe a car that should run 0 -60 MPH in under six seconds, and low 14teens 1/4 mi. : )
[
I wish that Chevy would have had this package for the Monte Carlo
The G6 GXP is powered by at 270-horsepower 3.9L V-6 and will feature a more aggressive appearance. The G6 GXP uses a modified 3.9-liter V-6 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Linking a ram air induction system with K&N air filter to a cat-back free flowing exhaust helps boost engine output to270 horsepower and 259 lb.-ft. of torque.
Highlighting the exterior styling changes is a redesigned front fascia, featuring an integrated lower air dam and an aggressive chrome treatment of Pontiac’s signature twin-port grille, as well as a twin air scoop hood. The new rear fascia shows off the dual chrome-tipped exhaust and unique spoiler. Side rocker panels, 19-inch wheels, vented cross-drilled brake rotors, and a 25-mm reduction in suspension height finish off the GXP’s appearance.
OK 3.9 Monte Carlo Owners. Now we know what to do to our Monte's to get 270HP
Now, we just have to find the $$$$ Money $$$$..
What do you think of the GTP ?
