JW, I am surprised that your appraiser friend didn't tell you to bring this car back and get your money back. I would be the first one to tell you not to be afraid of a rebuilt wreck that has been repaired correctly. I again am going to make a few observations based on what I know about rebuilding wrecks. First off the dimples in the roof indicate that the car was hit hard enough that the structural members of the car bent. If the car was hit that hard it also deployed the air bags which also shatter the windshield. The windshield is also a structural member of new cars. It appears that the air bags in your car have been replaced or the covers have been replaced without the bags. The windshield also would have been replaced. Due to the fact the dimples are still in the roof the car was not repaired correctly which also accounts for why the windshield is cracked. Until it is fixed right the windshields will continue to crack. This also accounts for why the front panels don't align. The car is also built with crumple zones that crumple when there is an impact and divert the collision energy away from the car occupants. Because this has not been corrected the next collision will have severe damage occur. A good front end alignment man can make the car feel like it is driving right even if it isn't. A car that is bent will also wear tires prematurely, wear or break CV Joints/axels, and transmissions. I know the car is yours to do as you see fit but at least you are knowledgeable about what you have. Gregg.

That dent on the roof was not caused by impact, I know this because if you look at the dent you can see where paint chipped dead center of the dent indicating the roof was hit with something. As far as the windshield goes the crack was not due to impact either, as you can clearly see that where the cracking started was dead center of the windshield. If the windshield was damaged due to an impact, there would not be a spider web in the middle, however cracks would be spread across the windshield. I can see why you would think so. To continue to disagree I took a look at the car today and noticed that the point of impact was on the driver side and was a minor collision because it was never repaired. Not only that but the radiator support was never replaced, still very original. It seems to me that the accident was very minor. How I see the windshield cracked the way it did was, well the girl lived in the country so driving down a gravel road with a car in front of you kicking up rocks is a very easy way to crack your windshield as bad as mine is.

btw my friend was halfway drunk last night when he took a look at my car. Did I forget to mention, IT WAS NIGHT.
Oh and my doors close perfectly fine. If the pillar was damaged in any way shape or form, my doors would not open and close correctly... Trust me I worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car I've seen my share of damaged pillars causing the doors to drop when they open.

The car drives like it should, no pulling or excessive rattles. Considering its a GM (not hating we all know when they hit a certain mileage we start hearing rattling and plastic moving around).
I'm not worried about it they both said it was still a step up and I got the better end of the deal. Like I told everyone earlier "Little bit of John loving and it will be as good as new"

JW; I am at least 1000 miles away. I have never seen your car. All the information came from you and your pics. I'm not dumping on your car

Ouch, definitely looks like the front end has been wrecked... The bumper support or foam under the bumper may be damaged... Shouldn't hang like that

Engine looks clean as **** though

Who wants to do the honors of making me a badass signature? :P

Thanks Rain, I love it so far! Drove it to work today with the heated seats, red dash lights glowing and the HUD shining onto the windshield. Had a smile all the way to work. I sure did miss having a Pontiac. I honestly could say with confidence I would choose Pontiac over Ford ANY day of the year
