Default My son's first interception!

My boy is on his school's JV football team, it's his first year playing full contact (he's always been more into basketball) and he's been having a hard time wrestling playing time away from the two linebackers ahead of him on the depth chart. He was getting discouraged by the lack of playing time so after the last game I was talking to him about it and told him the key was not to count his opportunities, but to make his opportunities count and that if he did that then the rest would take care of itself.

Well, it seems he listened! One of the starting linebackers got hurt with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter so my boy had to step in and step up. He did so big time by recording 2 1/2 tackles, performing solidly on punt and kick-off coverage teams, and by making a game saving interception with less than 2 minutes to go in the game. We weren't excited or anything

Yeah, I was super happy for him, he's been busting his but since last November trying to get ready for football season so it was nice to see his hard work pay off like that. He's the only one on his team who's playing for the first time but look at how many defenders were in the area when he picked the ball vs. how many offensive players there were. He was the only defender within 5-10 yards of the 3 offensive players right there

My little JVC Everio does alright, I like it. I was just happy I captured it cause sometimes i'm zoomed in too far and miss part of the play
