Thanks for the update Sandi. Great to hear he's back at home. I know he's still got a lot of recovery left. But being at home should really help.

 

I'm so glad your son is home with you.

 

This kid is doing amazing!! He's been up and about the past couple of days, using minimal pain medication. Still has to eat soft food for the next 5 weeks. Tonight he asked me if he could go home. You don't know how badly I wanted to say NO!!!! But, after all he's 24 and is fully capable of taking care of himself. So Dad took him home tonight, (I couldn't go cause I would've cried like a baby). So he's well on his way.

I want to say again, Thank you so, so much for your support and prayers. We've been truly blessed.

Here's a pic of him on the day it happened. It's a bit graphic, so I hope it doesn't offend anyone. I don't know if I did it right. Because he had no insurance he didn't want to go to the hospital so it was 8 hours before his buddy called me to tell me he'd been hurt. I honestly don't know how he could have stood that pain for all those hours.

Kids..... sheesh.....No wonder I have to dye my hair to get rid of the sparkly stuff.
