Default my "new" truck project

figured ya'll would enjoy this, after years of asking the owner, 3 weeks ago I got this baby in exchange for helping push a piano over to their neighbors house. it's an '89 ish (I can't remember, lol) dodge Ram 50 4x4 with 100k original miles. been sitting in the same spot for 15 years and surprisingly not very rusty, lol.

anyway, some pics for everyone to enjoy

and after a quick "bucket wash" (washing the scum off without a hose, just a pail or 2 of soapy water) and airing the tires and jacking it up out of the ground

Not a bad looking truck. I wish someone would give me a vehicle to push a piano.

well the buick is moving slow as always, lol. seems every time I touch it I find 10 other things to do... however I put a new set of plugs into it yesterday and now it idles a lot better so that's good. I also washed it and hit the paint with some compound and got it to kinda shine

so a quick update, the engine was seized from the truck sitting for so long, but luckily me & dad were able to get it to un-seize using some of his special home made "nuts off" oil solvent, by pulling the plugs and soaking the cylinders down. but when we tried to crank the truck over to start it it sounded goofy... using a compression tester revealed no compression in any of the cylinders... so eather it's got at least one valve stuck open in each cylinder, the rings are completely seized into the pistons, all the connecting rods are broken or the crank or cam is shot. fingers crossed it's something dumb, lol.
