RE: My motorcycle
Nice bolt-ons there GPD....I've always liked V&H.. of course... selling motorcycle parts it's hard not to..
Now... don't blame me if I'm a bit out of the loop on the FJ1200... we just started selling sportbike stuff.... but I do know (nearly too much) about Harleys and even some jap cruisers.

Can't wait to see the runs.... Have to see some wheelies!

FJ's weight 600 lbs. Prolly 500 on the fron end alone.
They are long distance haulers.
They can be wheelied, but it is very difficult and very rare.
I've done it, but because the front end is so heavy and the wheel base is so freaking long, it is difficult to hold it.

GPD,
Sweet bike d00d!
GPD,
Sweet bike d00d!
Thanks, gonna take it out of mothballs, clean it up and get it ready to ride in the winter.
I hate summer riding around here because it is 150 degrees under the leather jacket and helmet.
Winter is perfect because it is always 60-70 degrees during most of the winter.
Perfect riding weather.

Thanks, the FJ1200 isalmost 20 years old.
It is truly considered the first ever "sport" bike.
Now it is just considered a vintage sport touring bike.
The bike is totally Vance and Hines tuned from the cam to the filters to the exhaust.
I've talked to Vance and Hines and they have told me that they no longer support the tune, they have conceded to have it tuned by K&N which produces better numbers on the dyno.
This bike can go from zero to60 in about 2.9 seconds, and 60 to 100 in 2.9 seconds.
Two rare simultaneous accomplishments 20 years ago. We used to crave torque, now all modern young bikers want top end.
It is Japaneses, but it is still a collectible in my opinion and collecting is my profession.
Peace.
