Good morning guys, happy April! Hope everyone is well, I've been busy.
Six days ago we topped out at 71 degrees, three days ago we had 0.5" of snow on the ground, and now it's in the 50s again and will be in the 60s this weekend. Typical.
Got the car out yesterday for the first time this year. I'm having it tuned after work today by one of the local LS4 guys. I've been striking out with shops for my exhaust work but did come across another local shop yesterday, drove the car there to speak with them in person, and they look very good. Looks like I should be able to get the car in for that work sometime late April.

Thank goodness it is finally April and the weather has calmed down some. I did manage to get some new headlight housings install in the Monte Carlo last year after a drive back from a Car show in the evening I found out how bad the lights had deteriorated and finally got them ordered and done now.
Next is a New exhaust system, front disc brakes, and new track bars ( found one that is bent for some reason?) I can only think this was from back when I had a spin out and hit a sign in 2005 on I-80, kind of weird this Chevy Lumina got into my lane and hit me.
The road surface was so slick (muddy wet) that I couldn't get a grip on it.
I remember I had just got a fresh McDees coffee and when I was out of control that spilled all over my legs.
None of the stuff I did driving on dirt came back to help me?
Plus Mrs. Bickerson was riding along and her yelling was most likely the reason for the whole mess. Mostly because she was a freak show. She has only been in that Car once since.
So that all happened once again when I had my other front drive car, this time I was by myself. Got sideways on black ice. Looked like I was drifting, I selected Neutral and she came back and I got it all good. That's what I hate about the FWD, I think a person needs to go to a driving school just to practice the techniques of recovering the car.
Still got the Spring photo contest out there to enter if you all are interested.

Good afternoon guys.
Thanks Dean! Sounds like you have a list of to-dos with your car as well. I'm going Gold Class at Monte Nationals this year so yesterday I started the full detail process. Also got the car tuned yesterday and wow did it wake it up. In 3 weeks it goes in for the exhaust work (header and cutout install). Then I have the brakes to do (new rotors, new pads and refinishing calipers/brackets red), black SS overlays to install and some worn out part replacement with new OEM parts (hood liner, hood seals, hood bumpers, wiper arms, wiper arm caps).
Pic of the Day - Detroit Tigers opening day sunrise over Comerica Park. 1:10 pm start, mostly overcast but dry.

Good morning guys. Little rain overnight just moving out. Going up to 57 degrees today and then 60s tomorrow through Tuesday.
That's great, I used to go to a chiropractor back during high school and college. It does help a lot with headaches, stiffness, range of motion and general wellness.
I've started the detailing process for this year's show season, especially for my Gold Class run at this year's Monte Nationals. Here's the engine bay as of yesterday.
I got the Monte out of the Garage and was rotating the wheels/tires and cleaned all the wheels up and saw the Brake rotors needed to be done although they are fine right now they probably won't be in a few months. But I need to get my back and shoulders back in shape first before I can do much of anything. My fall kind of messed me up. Got a new Chiropractor and he is doing a great job so far it is really getting back into shape.

Afternoon! We had a really nice, partly cloudy and mild weekend and it's continuing today - high of 68 degrees Saturday, 72 yesterday and 68 today. And, of course, we can't have too much nice - a cold front will move through mid-week and bring with it a chance of snow Wednesday night. Yep, the s word.
I got my black SS overlays installed on the car on Saturday! I carefully removed the factory white inlay and then installed the black in its place so it looks factory. Another subtle but huge thing.
Thanks Dean!
