Hi Everyone,
`Lou, no I did not know who Columbo was, but I sure have been learning a lot about former stars or character's on the MCF 4-Sure

Oh, one more thing (lol)
I don't celebrate "Columbus Day", I replaced it with "Monte Carlo Day"

To me there's 2 much mis-information & hurt associated with Columbus Day 4-Real...

I do love to Celebrate `Life everyday
Wish everyone a Happy New Day of Life ~> EnJoy

Okay, let me ask everyone this. Has Columbus Day turned into just another excuse for a department store sale? Or just another holiday for institutions (banks, post office, government, etc.) ?

What are your thoughts?

I think it's just an excuse for government & others to get a day off, & stores to sell things to those that get `OFF (LOL)..I think there are many more people or events that deserve this honor 4-Sure...

The above link has a lot of good information about Chris Columbus & his adventures. I'm not stating that he doesn't deserve a place in history, but I don't think he deserves a special day over others that deserve a day of honor! `amen

I suggest changing this day to "Monte Carlo Day" in honor of the Chevy Monte Carlo's

Do banks even get off for Columbus Day?

It's just an excuse to celebrate since you have Thanksgiving right now

Windsor is so American-ized, that less and less people here celebrate Thanksgiving today. Most people here are more used to hearing about the American Thanksgiving in November. Up around JuniorCar Brent's area is more typical Canadian. Even stores here kinda skip the Canadian thanksgiving. Stores have been set up for halloween since the end of september.

I'm waiting for Bill Clinton day Hell in some jobs there a lot that don't get off from any Holiday. Mostly stores and some smaller places of work. I think everyone should only work 4 days a week
