Good afternoon everyone. Lunch break right now; leftover steak, rice, and brussel sprouts.
Well, I was not expecting Jim Leyland to retire as Tigers general manager without a World Series title with the team. Looks like he's not fully retiring and will remain with the Tigers in some form, which is great news. He was a great general manager and I'm sure all Detroit fans very much appreciate his effort and what he did to turn things around in the world of baseball here in Detroit. I very much appreciate what Leyland has done with the team to get us this far, however I can say have been starting to get very frustrated with the Tigers lately, just in the fact that they have made the Postseason 4 of the past 8 years (twice to the World Series) and they have not won one World Series. At this point, with three straight Postseason appearances, I think we're all expecting more. We just need that elusive World Series championship and I'm hoping the next guy can take us there.

Welcome back Chib,
Tadd, it was Great and the Greeks made us feel right at home. I really Loved Spain. In the US, Norfolk, Seattle and of course NY. Egypt was a nice place to visit in 1990. Lol . Overall though there's nothing like coming home. You see how much your kids have grown, how many new gray hairs are on your dogs chin, how much your wife hasn't changed, even though sometime you wish she did!
My time in the Navy was good, it combined the Boy I was, with the man they needed, and made the old Salty Squid I am today. In 1998 I got out of the Navy. In 2013, the Navy is still in me!

Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Sad to see the Tigers lose and also just heard on the radio during lunch about Jim Leyland. He is a great guy and I was lucky to meet him 10 years ago. He is from Perrysburg Ohio and I grew up there for half of my childhood. I hope to see him stay with the Tigers in some capcity.
I tailgated this past Saturday in Columbus Ohio for the Ohio State homecoming football game against Iowa. We could have done without the rain and cold but Ohio State wins again and it's all worth it!
SpaceRider,
As promised here are pics form tailgating.

Wasn't expecting Jim Leyland to retire from the Tigers. Now hopefully Prince Fielder retires from belly flopping (and failing bigtime) at third base.
Leyland got the Tigers further than they did since 1984.
