A lot of what your gonna hear on dex is oponion. But its a fact that dex doesn't like to mix with universal and all the inards of your engine are saturated with dex. So imo its not worth the swap.

Thanks, I hear you about opinions, I was really set to flush the dex out and just go with a regular coolant but the mechanic was pretty convincing on keeping the dex.......


I vaguely remember Mike (Chibi) saying that if it has dex, keep it that way in newer vehicles??

Yeah I think I recall mike saying that too. Its hard to know what's experience, what's opinion and what's just plain misplaced product loyalty. But I'd say best bet is to stick with what the engine is designed for. All after market parts are also designed and tested with dex cool most likely.
