evening everyone, I hope everyone made it through yesterday's weather without any mishaps.

The singer in my band picked up a 73 volkswagen beetle on Sunday and now I get to help him get it road worthy over the winter, I love auto projects and am almost as excited as he is lol. The thing is almost completely original with the exception of the rims, and the previous owner's kid painted the chrome black. But on the positive it is all original paint and body, the engine runs like a top. The only major thing we have found wrong so far is the drivers side floor is rotted a bit, but for the year of the car and considering it has been sitting for the last 6 years it is in great condition.

i wouldin't know, but the little turbo was so damn cute! lol i think it might just follow me home, just don't know what the hell i'm gonna do with it. but i feel like i should rescue it after someone did all that work...

 

Probably gets some decent fuel mileage, maybe flip it for a little profit?

Nobody gonna throw out any opinions on using Dexcool again instead of switching over to a "mixes with everything" coolant?


also, went to my local auto glass place because I needed my rearview mirror glued back on and they did if for nothing, which was pretty sweet!
