Hey everyone, i just got some good news and felt this was a good place to share!
to start, 8 months ago my father was diagnosed with cancer (lung), by the local VA (veterans administration), he was given 15 months to live. recently he fell ill, broke out in hives, shortness of breath, and felt very weak, we were all very worries that his time may be at an end. today he went to the VA to have his symptoms checked out, and the doctor ran a few new chest x-rays and he didn't see ANY signs of cancer... the doctor that was on call today just happened to be a primary cancer care physician who got "stuck" on-call today. needless to say im very happy to hear this news, but at the same time i don't trust a word that comes out of a VA physician and will be seeking another opinion from a REAL medical facility... i will keep everyone posted as to how that turns out.
the moral of the story? our country's hero's (past and present) are getting the worst care this county can provide.
