Anyone ever upgrade their brake lines? I saw this kit and ended up buying it with a couple other things last week.....My buddy at work said it would take 4hrs to install, I think that's a little long, anyone have any thoughts on doing this job or how much it would cost to have it done...Let me know thanks everyone.......

Anytime you do your own work. Your saving about $80.00 an hr. So all I have to say is GOOD for you. The better the brake lines the better the stopping power!

4 hours is a decent estiment I think. By the time you jack it up take the wheels off replace the lines, bleed them and reassemble I could see it taking that long. I would suggest using line wrenches for them, not regular open end wrenches. Also I would soak them down with penetrating oil first.

You'll have to bleed the brakes after you install the new parts..
I installed stainless lines on my Vette...

Hi Chris: Brakes & tires are my passion. That job shouldn't take long at all. JUST GO SLOW! One side at a time. Follow what Lou said and use lines wrenchs work better. Its an easy job. Your going to need a friend , wife , girl friend, kid down the street to help you bleed them thats all. GO For it Dude. Its worth it to STOP
