OK Space enjoy that re charge . So I just walked back into the house. Talking to my neighbor about his trip to Sturgis, S.D. Get a bite to eat. Sitting in my home office on the pc. When I hear HI Ozzie come here ! What .. I sring up out of the chair and look around the house...NO OZZIE. OH OH.........I look out the sliding doorwall and I see the kids next door callin him. I walk onto the deck! ( off the second story of the house) I see him sitting there tail waggin 100 mph. I look at him and call him Come here Ozzie. Without even looking at me he takes off for the deck. WOW!! How did he get out All the door are closed going to the deck and the garage. I must not have colsed the garage door coming into the house all the way. Man What a scare that was. I don't have a fenced in yard. Geeeez. What a rush that was. Now he's by my feet . Crazy dog

 

Finally done welding and got those parts delivered... wonder what my next task will be

Here's my story though

Two weeks ago (last time I drove my car) I went to a small car show and met up with some grand prix guys. About half way to the show my low fuel light goes on... I think oh well my cars basically a hybrid, I just go get gas when the prices go down

Well the trip there was about an hour and a half but I made it home fine on an empty tank and even made it to work and back the next day. About 100-140 miles on the empty tank.

Well this morning, about a week and a half later of the car just sitting in the garage, I go to leave for work. Crank the car once, nothing... crank it again and it starts up... so I'm thinking here we go... if it didn't have enough gas it probably wouldn't have started at all... I get down my driveway, put it in drive and go to leave and all the car does is drop the idle and doesn't move, so I get it to get enough power to make it back up my driveway, throw the gas in her that was in the lawn mower spare tank ( less than a gallon) and head to work.

I got to work fine but still have to go a couple of miles after wok to get gas. So there may be more to this story later, but that's all for now haha

Good Afternoon everyone! Haven't been on lately been so busy with the county fair and my Monte getting fixed. There's an 04 SC Intimidator for sale at the chevy dealership by me, I test drove it and fell in love. Thinking I might have to buy it now that it's been sitting for about a month.

Be careful running fuel low. That fuel keeps your pumps cool, you can break your pump very very easily running past E.

 

Yeah I know lol I just haven't had the time or money to get gas lol

due to dirt etc that can gather in fuel tanks it is better not to run them to empty , it costs the same to fill the top half of the tank as it does to fill the bottom half a full tank really works for you in the case of an emergency without you having to worry bout running out of fuel

Another thing to keep in mind is that when the tank is full the fuel pump doesn't have to work as hard to deliver the fuel to the engine. causing less wear on the pump itself.

Dirt is not the main reason on cars with in tank pumps. The pump is cooled by the fuel. Anything under 1/4 tank is possibly causing the pump to run hot . Doing this a few times is not major, but running your vehicle under 1/4 tank on a normal basis will cause the pump to fail . They usually fail without warning. The most common place of failure is the gas station because the cold gas shocks the hot pump & it dies ?.
Plus the lower you get to the bottom of the tank, the more chances there are for it to pick up debris & clog things `up.
Please get a loan from your g/f, or have her get you a `gas card ps. there will be a test later (LOL)

I just got `off my recharge & wow did it go fast..I had to get up & get some things done that came in over the fax & then I can fuel `up with some food.
