. I just hope that I just get the lawn cut today. It takes close to an hour on the rider to cut all of it. Our members in & around St louis are really having Big thunderstorms today
. Hope theres no hail damages to their Monte's. Man I don't know what I do if that happened to mine. But Hell it never leaves the garage unless its Sunny & dry for 100 miles in either direction
. Ok. Coffee and shower I guess. Nothing else to do till the lawn drys out.
Good morning everyone,
Nice weekend here. Homemade pizza w/the family Fri night. Cruising the Panoply Arts Festival Saturday. Yard work, back porch cleaning, and motorcycle maintenance Sunday. A good mix of fun / work, just the way it should be.
Took apart the driveshaft of my bike Sunday for a lube job. I purchased it last year w/about 18K miles on the clock. I recently read horror stories about how little lube is applied at the factory on the driveshaft splines. Really glad it opened it up; mine was almost devoid of lube. The splines at the front of the shaft were already showing signs of corrosion. The back end wasn't quite as bad but was still woefully low on lubricant.

Everything is now properly slicked up with Moly 60 paste (an excellent thick grease).
Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Thats one of the Fun things when you own a Motorcycle. Do your own maintance is just one of them. Never trust anyones work. That shaft breaks. You get the shaft! Glad your one of the few that does his own. Also a few hundred bucks cheaper too.
GOOD JOB Dave .

Space spring break has consisted of adjusting to the new job, otherwise i really havent done anything. Dinner tonight is one of those take and bake pizzas from walmart, they're really good for ready made.
