Good Morning! It's a new week and just try to make it through as always. Never even managed to clean up my car this weekend. Oh well, probably won't drive it again till next weekend.

What a chilly and rainy weekend. Ruined a lot of my plans :(

Same here. I was on vacation from work, and wanted to wash/wax the Monte. Gonna have to wait till next week.

Same here....I thought it was spring, but the weather felt more like November. Today is sunny and warmer so I'll spend some quality time with the Monte.

Morning All,

Nice cool ride to work today. High 30's I think. Sunny but cool expected all day.

Worked on the wife's Monte Saturday. Murphy's Law struck as I was performing some preventive maintenance. I was removing the IAC valve to clean it when one of the small mounting bolts broke off. I had to drill out the remains of the bolt. In the process I ruined the threads near the front of the mounting hole. Luckily there were enough threads further back to allow a longer bolt to get a good grip and properly secure the valve again. The IAC valve itself was so gunked up with carbon deposits that I bought a new one rather than just clean the old one. With 160K+ miles on it, I figured it was good preventive maintenance.

My son's high school theater work is done for the year. They performed the last few shows of 'Oklahoma' over the weekend. We spent Sunday afternoon tearing apart the set and cleaning backstage. The cast / crew party after Saturday's final show went until 3am. They deserved it; they all put in a tremendous amount of work to pull off such a great show.

The weather forecast says colder temps here too. Lows in the 30's. Yuck!

Afternoon guys. It was chilly this morning here at Knox. Didn't like that at all. Hope y'all are having a good one. One more test tomorrow and I'm done. Not sure if I still have the highest average or not, I haven't seen the class average scores in a while, plus we still have a few people that need evaluated on D&C and leading PT. If I don't have the highest average I'm within a few tenths of a percentage point of it though.

They are updated all our systems where I work & live & I was just advised that I don't have to be back to work until 11PM 2night, instead of 7 PM...:congrats: Sad part is that my company truck is in the shop & my beach bum friends are working :(.

I'm with you Lou. But I'am ready for some warmer weather. Had enough of cold & rain since I've been back. Not to bad today. Some cloudys some Sun. High around 62. Been working outside for the last 2 days. Converting a motorcycle trailer I sold to my buddy next door. To a part time camper:thumbsup: . Its 12 long, enclosed Harley Hauler. Were making it so him & his wife can sleep in it during Sturgis oe what ever bike run they go to. Make a fold away bed in it and putting in all freash wood on the walls & floor. Then doing some trick stuff on the ceiling if the $$$ holds out. I love doing this stuff:congrats:. Makes me want to sell the Chevelle & get another Harley :thumbsup:

Afternoon everyone, home from work. Just got the Meatloaf going in the oven and few other things done.

Evenin guys. Back at the room from the DFAC and just sitting here right now. Just found out I'll be getting paid late from this two weeks. That does not sit well with me since I still have to front the travel expenses before I can get reimbursed.

evening everyoen, only just got up an hour ago. Wasn't quite expecting to sleep all day, needed to call the bank i applied at but its too late for that now:rolleyes: Im off from work for the next 2 nights. My HID bulbs came today, but no paper work or instructions or anything came with them. Gonna be a guessing game i guess. Just need some nice weather, this grey gloomy crap sucks:thumbsdown:

Rick we both know that if you sell the Chevelle to buy a Harley, it won't be long and you'll be missing your Chevelle. The only solution is to keep the Chevelle and get a Harley too.:thumbsup:

I spent the afternoon driving to Bartow to the county tax collector. Wa also have a tax collector in Lakeland at the county building. They also house the court house there and they force you to go thru metal detectors and check points. I feel like they treat you like a criminal. I refuse to be abused like that so I drive thirty miles to get my new registration. I had to renew the registration on my two Town & Country's and my 78 Dodge Aspen wagon. Better part of two hundred bucks gone. The two vans were 71.00 each. I'm glad I have antique plates on Woody as he was only 37.

Hey everyone. How's it going? I have been super busy lately. I think I am going to do the 5 day ride across Iowa so I have been riding 40 miles a night after work to get ready if i decide to do it. After that I am spent for the day though. That is the reason pretty much i have been MIA for awhile.

I just submitted 26 days of vacation time at work until the end of the year, seems like alot and that doesn't even include the holidays......:eek: If I don't I'll lose the time because I can only carryover 2 weeks to the next year....... I think I should look for a part-time job for all my days off?

i think it is 470 miles chris. that isnt too bad but i am not used to the hills yet. i ride mostly trails so the highway is a different beast. I have until late june or early july to get ready. I cant remember when for sure.
