Thanks for starting the blog Keane and congrats to John on the Monte of the Month, a well deserved title.
Been home for a few hours unwinding after the viewing. Very tiring. A LOT of people came through, she was more liked than I knew. Some people surprised me by coming out. I have to count the names in the guestbook at a later time.
Have a great day all, I'll try to check in tomorrow some time, probably after the funeral. I think I'm going to drive the Pace Car a lot now, one of the few things I enjoy doing right now. Also time to bring the '90 Daytona out of mothballs.

Kerry, good to hear alot of people came out to pay their final respects to your wife. How are your girls doing? Good to hear you're enjoying driving the pace car. Wish you the best of luck tommorow (today)

Girls are doing better than I would have at their age, I think. I think the worst is yet to come for them (and myself) after the funeral when the everyday reality hits that she's not here anymore and never coming back.

Good to hear they're doing ok for now. All you can do is hope for the best and over time the pain will subside

I am off to work to begin the new week, my plant is firing up and that means it is time to start the road construction, First project is on the interstate I-69 but is a short one. They are building a cross over to put people on the same side while they do the work.

Morning everyone. Got my MagnaFlow exhaust (#16727) installed on the car Saturday. The work took me about six hours total. The majority of that time was spent grinding the nuts/studs off the flange at the cat, but once ground off the flange separated pretty easily. Got the new system aligned as close as possible for now, as tightening one piece moves the last piece you just aligned, and so on. Figured I'd drive it around for a bit and let the system settle into position, then I have to go back and do final adjustments/alignment. Sounds mean, I'm very happy with it.

One more month and we'll be heading up to open our lake cabin for the summer. Can't wait!

I took Friday off, I have brakes and clips being delivered to my parents this week, and I have an inspection appointment at a small shop Saturday at 930a.

not much going on here, got back from NY state last night, my uncle gave me my grandfather's old .22 rifle while i was up there so that was a nice suprise. it's on the top in the pic.

i'm also gonna be buying a new hood for the truck this week, i can't wait for that!

I think all vehicles on the road should be inspected, but I know there is a Big Cost to have safe vehicles on the road, but it sure can hurt when it's your ride. I wish you the best & I hope that you can resolve the issues with your Monte..

I Know it is important to have a safe vehicle on the road. But I feel like this is a little TOO strict in PA lol. I know the issue is there, I just want to be able to drive the Monte legally at least once a week. Nothing crazy, it isn't going get 1000s of miles racked up on it while it is "unsafe". I just need more than a month lol.

I had the Camaro fully inspected when I purchased it, and the mechanic said that for its age, and the fact that it was a NJ car, everything is really clean (rust-wise). He said it was a very solid car. I should have no issues keeping it for a couple years to beat on.

Hey Space... Talk about dishonesty. Water pump on the Black '98 3.1 bit the dust. Shop in town wanted $ 520.00. I decided to do myself. Went to Autozone & got a Brand New lifetime warranty replacemet for $ 20.70 + a gallon of Dex cool $13.00. Started @ 7:00 A.M. Saturday morning & fininded bleeding out the air pockets at 9:30. Hardest part was trying to get the old gasket cleaned off !! Saved $ 486.30. HELLO !!

It's been a while since I was on the MCF. Business trip followed by family vacation have kept me very busy that last few weeks.

Chibi - Sorry to hear about the rust issues on your Monte. I feel your pain. Had similar issues years ago with an old Blazer. Luckily our Monte has spent most of it's life in the South without road salt to contend with.

Having a new issues with the wife's Monte (turn signals) as of yesterday. I'll post more in 'General Tech'.

It was a lot of fun! There are 2 expo's a year and its the only way to buy ratts in bulk for cheap!!
I got 50 medium rats
100 fuzzy mice
and 16 chicks for my carpet python!

I own 4 snakes!
Jungle Carpet Python
Ball python
Mexican Milksnake
Cali Kingsnake

The milk/king snakes eat once a week
carpet/ball eats once every 2 weeks!
Not expensive at all to keep snakes!
You gotta check the temps a few times a day to make sure its hot enough
Cold blooded so they dont have body heat!

other than that, make sure they have water and they are very easy to keep!

I didnt take pictures this time, the first expo i went to i did, buts theres too many people in the way to get good ones

Just thaw them out in warm water and feed em!

I keep them in the freezer next too the ice cream :rotfl:
