Good Monday Morning. 03jg mike, Gregg,Space, Seattler Mike,Jerry, Zach,Devin. Hope your weather is warmmer then mine. It was 57 at 4 pm Sunday. Now it's 34 and **** blowing just a little. Been windy all night. had to take our new puppy out this morning. My wife does it. But she's out of town for a day. BRRRRR It's cold out there. And he is a nosey dog. Come on Ozzie hurry up. Ok time for my wake up coffee

Nice start to the day, but I left the bike at home today; nasty storms expected later today.

Exciting weekend in our household - some good, some bad. It was opening weekend for my son's latest high school theater production - Oklahoma. I was out of town almost all week, but made it back just in time for their opening performance on Thur night. Unfortunately the father one of the shows stars had a massive heart attack and died earlier that day. The young man decided to go through with the show and performed beautifully. He received a long standing ovation at the curtain call after the show. His dad was a great guy; I spent many evenings & weekends with him building theater set pieces. The rest of the shows all weekend went great. The whole cast / crew went to the viewing at church after Sunday's show. It was great to see all the kids supporting their friend.

Its sorry to read what happened to the actor's father on the day of the show . Another reminder on how fragile life can be. It's great that his son still had the courage to perform & was supported by the students & community. How did your son do ? It's great that you were able to be there for him...

Thanks, Space. I don't know many kids who would have the strength to perform in front of a crowd of hundreds immediately after such a blow. One great thing about that group of kids is how well they support each other. I'm glad my son fell into such a nice group.

My son did really well too. He's in the chorus this time rather than holding a lead role. I think he's quite happy with that; after having lead roles in the last two productions, he was getting burned out. Nice to have a fun part but not be so time consuming / stressful.

 

morning everyone, gonna be a roaster today. Only about 10:30 and its already 84 outside Sparky, kids in theater productions are a whole different group. I've done alot of work in theater productions and it is amazing how the kids will come together to help each other out.

I've been discovering that over the past couple of years. It's been a good experience for all of us.
