Default Mom's 86 Monte SS

Details:
1986 SS with salvage title. Bought from a friend who buys wrecked cars, fixes them, and re-sells them. Body is all Monte, but the frame is Grand National if my memory is correct. It had the factory 305 in it when we bought her. Kept it in the car for over 300k miles before we swapped in a 350. I don't know what'll run in the quarter, but it should be pretty quick for a street car.

And just why haven't we seen pics before? Huh?

Why hasn't it been to a Monte Nationals? It sure looks like a beauty.

Looks like a GREAT Monte. Salvage title doesn't matter to me on a car that old. So many are FAR worse shape. At least it's not sitting on a BLAZER chassis. A Grand National is basically the same car anyways, right? If the drivetrain is Grand National, then it's got a 12 bolt in it, right? Couldn't get that in ANY Monte!

Drivetrain isn't Grand National, just the frame. Drivetrain is still stock from 86, we just swapped in a built 350.

Man, I really gotta quit looking at these pics of gorgeous 4th gens. Keep drooling on the keyboard.

Really nice 86 SS. The same with Amy's 85 SS.
