well looks like i might have a chance to stay home instead of going OTR.
i had to go do the DOT phisical today for them so if all is good i should be starting a new job Monday or so.
But then again they havent said for sure yet either so i dont want to say i have it. till i actually get it.
But this means i can be home enough to drive the kids and wife nuts still

OTR= Over The Road... Driving freight or sales, stuff like that. DOTistoAmerica what theTUV is to European countries,,, Department of Transportation. You have to pass DOT tests and all in order to get the proper license to be able to drive semi's or commercial vehicles. Different classes for different vehicles you're approve for. Like my license has class C (non commercial vehicle) and Class M (motorcycle) endorsements. So I can drive non commercial (aka personal or non-dot regulated commercial vehicles) and motorcycles.

Mickey,

You do land this OTR job, you drive safe and make sure you ONLY stop at truck stops that offer online services so you can check in with us.

We need ya here man.

Mickey,
I hope you do get to stay home, I would not wish OTR on anybody. I did that for 10 years, it is a rough life for both the driver and his family back home. I lost my first wife due to OTR trucking. she could handle it wit me being gone three weeks at a time and home only two days before leaving for another three weeks.

Good Luck.

Mike.

well i had to go do teh D.O.T. phisical and drugtesting for them, So we shall see. i know i dont have to worrie about the drugs those are not even a thought in my head so im just waiting for them to figure this out LOL

But Mike i have been a driver now for over 14years. and i hate it but i love the money.
When i dont ahve a camera in my hands im driving .

Like i told the wife it is the CRACk of the workign world.
Fast easy money (if you arent flatbedding) And good hours to get it.
And you get the best office with a veiw one could ask for. But it still has the whole down side of loseing all your working for at home

I lost one from it also and dont plan to lose this one for it . But then she is a alot better women then teh last also.
So i guess i have that goign for me to.

the job her local is one that im still driving 12 hour days but at least i come home at night for sleep break. but when it rains im out till it gets dry.
We will be hauling road base. so it has to be dry for it
