i just have to say yes...its kind of a lateral move...
my current car... 94 scort
if i want it 00 merc mystake..
they both have some issues
my car..
needs breaks,only has front breaks
i know i spelt brakes the wrong way..
needs an alighnmemt,needs the ther stat housing replaced...which causes it to over cool and i get verry little heat,
needs ball joint/wheel bearing or somthing replaced,
pulls right when braking.... pulls left when accelerating...
door switch for lights don,t work
burns oil,knocks on start up,and when over 4g
wont idle../
car i can get
bad alighnment
pulls hard right when brakimg.. there,s more but i cant think of what
there is a few things that are a + for it..
newer, 5 speed , 4 doorpw n pl sunroof...
i would probably sell the scort then when i get some more $ go buy ssomething new...

are you saying the mystake's free? than sure its worth it, even if it turns out to be a compleate POS, it probibly has heat, and thank got its a stick. if it was an auto i would run screeming, i've helped out on a couple of contour sedans with the auto, pretty scary. hold onto the scort just in case 'till the inspection runs out. you could mabe get an alignment at the 'yoda dealership for cheap scince ya work there?
inspection whats that? yes it's a pos but so is thr scort.. and if my sis comes with me.tittle transfer would be free too so just tabs ( registration )

only reason im sayin to hold onto the scort for a few months is that in case the mystake dies on ya ya dont have to worry about finding something else to drive. then you can run the scort till it dies too!
