Calls from Jackson’s house were placed to 911 around 12:20 PM PT from his Holmby Hills home in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.com.

In December of 2008, Jackson’s brother Jermaine made startling claims that the King of Pop was suffering from a rare lung disease and other potentially fatal illnesses, although neither health issues were confirmed.

Jackson was currently in the middle of planning a 50-date concert series at London’s O2 Arena, as well as working on a come back

Just noticed the news a few minutes ago on tv.

We're all familiar with Michael Jackson's personal problems. They say if you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all. So I'll just say this about him:

He was a very talented singer and performer. He was very influential in music and pop culture in the 80's. This is a huge loss to the entertainment industry and the Jackson family.

As for Farrah Fawcett...

She was just a little before my time. She was a big star and a sex symbol in the 1970's. I was too young to appreciate that at the time, seeing as I was born in the early 70's.

Farrah was a super model of her day. She was married to Lee Majors ("The 6 Million Dollar Man", "The Fall Guy") during the height of their popularity. They were the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of the 1970's.

May all their family and friends be comforted in their time of loss.

R.I.P. Michael and Farrah.

I heard the news about Michael at dinner time - was watching the news and it was the big news for this evening. I didn't know about Farrah though. R.I.P. They aren't suffering anymore.

I thought about that too JJ.

Ed McMahon was one of those guys that was on tv so long, you felt like he was a long time friend.

I can't wait to see how huge the Jackson funeral is going to be. I'm guessing there will be performances by other Motown singers like Aretha Franklin.
