True, at least the car doesn't need a whole new transmission. Even though this one was re-built six years ago. I guess you could say I've gotten the $1400 re-buld cost out of it if I've driven/enjoyed the car for the past 6 years.

Others have said to just drive the car and replace the filter/fluid in 6 months and keep my $625. But it came too late as I told the trans shop to go ahead and replace the converter, already.

A call to the trans shop this morningI requested my old parts back. They acted put out.

The parts are mine. They belong to me. And there might be an instance where one of these parts would keep my '93 Shadow Es on the road a bit longer?

Then I asked will the car be finished today like they promised? I get the, "I'll check."

She comes back says, "He says it won't be done till wednesday."

Guess I should have kept my mouth shut about wanting my old parts back?????????

 

And now for some REALLY good news.

My g/f wanted to go to her sisters today. So we hit I-75 and head south. Not 10 miles down the interstate my car started acting funny? Not funny as in humorous. Funny as in strange.

I tell her I'm going to pull off the interstate, "To see something?"

On the off ramp the trans goes out of my car ..... AGAIN!!!
I can't even get it off the ramp. It won't move.

A call to AAA, they say they'll send a tow truck. But ater 5 miles I have to pay $3/mile for the tow. (I was thinking, isn't this member level I have good for a 50 mile tow?)

So the tow truck guy shows up 45 minutes later. I happen to be able to get the car off the off ramp to a safer spot for hm to hook up to it. He tows the car for me. And when he get to the trans shop that repaired the car he notices they're closed so he says he'll drive us home at no charge.

I just know this trans shop better make this right. I just paid them $700 three days ago to repair the car. Plus they better help with this tow bill I now have.

Anyone got a decent car for sale at a reasonable price?
