(32 yrs old)He started
on it around 430pm... right where it sits (in the grass)...He finished it around 8 pm... taped it off, ground it down...etch primered it, sanded it..
primered it (2 coats) sanded it again...filled it with body puddy... sanded it..
re primered it...wet sanded, laid down some color, wet sanded it...shot a light coat of color... Wet sanded again... shot some clear on it and TADA!
Still needs to be feathered in some....and then wheeled out....some polish and sealing wax and it should be good to go!
However, Now I have to figure out how to cleanup and polish the front lower air dam.... I was somewhat willing to over look it.... But now that the rust is fixed...
Gotta figure out.... how I can improve it... without repainting the air dam... We tried a little compound on it and some polish... but its weathered severely..But Hey:
Its a daily driver... what do you expect right? PERFECTION? Ahahahahahahahaha

Very nice David! Can't wait to meet you and your Monte at Nats in 2 months!
I just spent about 4 hours detailing the engine compartment of the Stang. I dropped 1 plastic fastener, 1 metal clip, and one tool at the bottom of the compartment (that was fun - NOT!). The only thing I couldn't retrieve was the plastic fastener which hopefully I can find a replacement at the auto parts store, if not at the Ford dealership. Scratched the heck out of my right arm reaching to the bottom of the compartment to clean off the frame & other parts. The sacrifices I make to have my cars all shiny and clean sheesh!
