We got to do 2 1/2 laps on the track. The hemi Roadrunner kinda held things up for us, and when LadyT went from the low line to the high line, she got kinda scared. But as you can see in the pic, she got over it! About 30 on the track at a time. GREAT time yesterday!
LadyT and the cars behind us:

I lined up next to the one and only Hemi roadrunner there:

The WS6 Trans Am in front of me:

Going 3 wide with a featured vintage Mustang race car:

LadyT FINALLY getting the thrill of being on the track:

Don and his Mallet #1 Solstice V8 LS1 conversion:

A GREAT flathead ratrod:

This BEAUTIFUL Camaro. Notice the dorks standing beside the car? One of em' reached in and fiddled with a NOS energy drink can on the carb, and the can exploded IN the engine compartment! Thought there was going to be a homicide right then and there! See the drink splattered all over the inner wheelwell? It's EVERYWHERE!

This GREAT Ligenfelter SS 540 twin turbo truck, putting out 1,570 HP:

And a '56 they also own (trophy winner):

And what's a car show without a jet powered truck? This is a MIG training plane engine. The truck drives normal, and he puts it in neutral and fires up the jet engine! He made a lap around the track as we were getting ready to leave:

And now the Montes! This blue '71 was ......WOW! Just WOW!

LadyT admiring the quality of the car. She liked the barb wire effect on the door panels inside:

This car was with the '71:

Another nice 1st gen:

And another, with LadyT's Solstice GXP "Lucy" and my Intimidator SS in the background:

The only 2 other 6th gens in the show, a pure stock '05 LS, with a 3.4:

And this '01 Pace Car. #51 (Dale Sr was 51 when he died in '01):

This guy was parked in the workers or vendors area:

And another 4th gen:

Finally, here's my Intimidator SS:

I'll post this and more in the show section, but for now enjoy! I took 365 pic's yesterday! This is just a few. Lot's of nice 50's cars, trucks, rat rods, muscle cars, a Boss 302 Mustang, just about anything anyone could want to see......EXCEPT.....We didn't see not a 1 *****'s! That's just weird, but still a GREAT show. One of, if not THE best show I've ever been to!

I checked out the first 32 pics you posted on photobucket, Wayne. Nice pics.

Leave it to a mopar to hold everybody up. What happened with him anyway?

I can just imagine Brent's car going around that track. Probably would've been some second looks for sure.

I really need to get off my butt and get my passport already, so I can go to the MIS meet some year. Maybe next year if I can get the time off work and someone willing to come with me.

I will definitely go next year. It looked awesome. It always turns out this way for me. If I had gone it would have rained and only 12 cars would have shown up. The cruise would have been canceled. But seriously, I won't miss this one again. I'll just leave the wife and kid at home

wow, the owner of that blue '71 monte put ALOT of thought & time into his car. did anyone else notice the 57 chevy dash? i have to say that was my favorite part. plus he went through the trouble of smoothing the firewall out... wow, thats alot of attention to detail! i wish i could make that one, but its a little bit of a haul for me, lol. maby ill do goodguys at pocono raceway this year....

whelp, i pulled the buick outta the gradge today, and cleaned the gradge again so now i have some room to work on it in there... i cant wait to get it done!
i also just noticed a car setting in a driveway that may be of interest, about a mile from my house... i thought it was a 4 door caprece, and never paied much attention... but now the tarp that was on it rotted off, and it appears to be, possibly, an early 4th gen monte, or at least a 2 door caprece, still cool, lol. green on green, all original down to the hubcaps, and straight as an arrow, looks like the perfect granny-mobile setting there, i gots to stop in on it one of these days

have a good evening, everyone!
