Mornin' all my MCF family. WOW!!!! What a week! Still in shock from the raid on Wednesday. They didn't shut us down, and we still have valid contracts, so business as usual. But when large men in their blue flack jackets with badges, handcuffs and sidearms all visable, and they tell you to back away from your desk, NOT the way to start your day! Good thing that we as a new management teem havedone everything TOTALLY on the up and up!. The biggest lesson learned this week (which I all ready knew), Do the absolute very best yo can at what ever you do, do it right, and as perfect as you can do, but most of all, do NOT lie OR bend the truth about ANYTHING! People make mistakes. We are human. If we do make a mistake, 'fess up! Fix what was wrong. Don't HIDE (cover up) your mistakes, fix them. Make it as right as is possible. AND, be careful what you say, as big brother is listening (probably even to this post now).

Another lesson that is hitting home hard: Try to do everything in house that is possible. When you farm out work, you lose full control. If THEY make a mistake, it's YOUR a s s on the line, not theirs. Been there, done that before, but being new to this company, that has not been the case, and we have paid BIG for it this week. Not with the raid business, but another incident. We have bought castings and are trying to machine them. The castings are wrong so the finished parts are wrong. So now we back up, re-think, buy billet steel, and build the parts from bar stock. NOW we have 100% control of the parts and process IN HOUSE. We can't do that on everything, but that's an example. I have another project just as bad, but we believe we will re-cast those pieces, as they are complicated.

Moral of the week: Do your ABSOLUTE very best at EVERYTHING you do, and DO NOT lie about ANYTHING! Honesty IS the best policy. And for me, do everything as if I am doing it for God, because as I found out this week, when you are working for the Army, the Army IS God when it comes to your work.
