Dustin, I wish I could bring it out. I wish there was someone local that would help me do the work so I could learn more. Oh well it will be running again, hopefully this summer.

I can't wait to leave on vacation, it is suppose to be 80 every day. So Nice.

Thanks, Bavorelli. They look sharp. Sometime in the future I'd like to replace the stock wheels. Trying to get some ideas.

Yeah, my brain has a hard time getting 'green' and 'beer' together in the same sentence without warning bells sounding. It's just not natural...

Thanks for the invite, Dustin! No, probably not a good idea if I'm to make my Fri 9am meeting with The Boss. Besides, my wife is back in town tonight. She and my daughter have been out of town for the past week. Private party tonight!

Came back from the shop a few hours ago.
So i have a slow oil leak thats leaking oil and coolant.
The leak is in the Intake and they want to replace the
Upper and Lower Intake Gaskets.
Then they told me i needed a New Airfilter, Fuel Induction Service, Transmission Fluid Flush, Brake Fluid Flush.
Then they give me an estamate around $1000

I dont think all that is completely necessary?
Opinions plz.

If you have to change the LIM gaskets, the shop is going to charge you a ton.

The LIM gasket change alone is super expensive, and a large chunk of the price they gave you. If the gaskets are leaking, they need to be done. But I would pass on the other stuff this time. A lot of shops (especially dealerships) like to throw stuff like that in, just to pad your bill. Even if you don't really need it.

Do you really need the other stuff? That depends on your mileage, how you drive, how often you drive the car, etc, etc.... The air filter you can do yourself in a minute or two. Do it yourself. The other stuff, go by the recommendations in the service interval info that came with your owners manual. I don't have it handy right now.
