Well, sore and tired today so I am off to try and paint my house. I have to get the ceilings, kitchen and bathroom done so wish me luck.

 

I am slowly, but surely, creeping up towards the 1,000 post mark!

Just came back in from shoveling snow. On top of the 6" of ice, we got about 5-6" of snow yesterday and 1-2" expected today. My Dodge is in the garage and the way it looks, it will be there till April. There is about 12" of ice in front of the door and it is on a slope. Best place for it this time of year anyways. Planning on watching superbowl and wishing COLTS were in it. OH and dont forget next Sunday wll be race day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nearly half a foot of snow falls on area

Snow expected to return Sunday night

ANDERSON, Ind. — The area has once again been hit with snow — this time it was more of a clobbering rather than a dusting, with nearly a half-foot of snow reported in some areas.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Michael Koch said central Indiana saw between 4 to 6 inches of snow. A strong low pressure system that moved into the area brought the snow, which started falling a little after 6 a.m. Saturday and continued until around 3 p.m.
Koch said the area can expect to see as much as 3 more inches of snowfall overnight Sunday night and into Monday morning.

The snow is expected to begin melting Feb. 13 when temperatures should begin to warm up. The high for Sunday is 34 and 29 on Monday. But arctic air moving into the area Tuesday, he said, will cause temperatures to drop to an expected high of 15 until the following week.

Koch said the area has experienced above average snowfall this snow season with a total of 29.5 inches of snow as of Saturday afternoon. The average is at 16.9 inches for this time of year.
