Happy President's Day Everybody!

Here in Canada it's a relatively new holiday called "Family Day". As you may have guessed, it's just like Mother's Day or Father's Day. But geared toward the entire family. Supposed to bring families together and enjoy a day off work and school together.

So far Hallmark doesn't make a card for it. :p

It's still snowing like crazy here. There's got to be close to 8 inches so far. :eek: SOOO GLAD I didn't have to go to work tonight!

Just sitting here enjoying some popcorn and tv. Gonna head off to bed soon. Been up since 7:15 am

No day off for me. Even though I support the Army, as a slimy contractor I don't get Federal holidays off.

Exciting race yesterday, eh NASCAR fans?? Pretty cool to see a 20 year old win.

Not much going on, the cold is back and it stinks!! lol. At least I got a good coat of wax on while it was still nice.

Space, those Art of Shaving kits are amazingggg. I got a free one once and loved using it. I just couldn't find myself spending the money for their stuff.

Morning everyone,...Sooo me and my Monte got spanked yesterday by an old lady in a Mercedes AMG i knew that car could beat mine i just didn't expect grandma to floor it like that, live and learn.

I missed this earlier. I use an old fashioned 'safety razor' with soap / brush but don't get my supplies through 'The Art of Shaving'. Wicked expensive. Drug stores usually carry my blades & soap. I got hooked on the safety razor approach in the military. The blades cleaned camo off the face nicely and I could remove the blade and wipe it clean. Can't do that with modern multi-blade gizmos. No need for camo on my face anymore, but I still like the shave.

Morning all. Nothing going on here at work. Got another 4 hours before I am off. Wouldn't mind a smoke break right about now.

Dude... How embarrassing. :p At least it was a hot car.

Morning all, was real slow going into work... snow total from lastnight 15in and it's snowing again they are talking another 3-5, only like a 1/3 of the people who work here came in... i should have just called in!

I agree that you don't need fancy new razors, but the preshave oil and soap combination were amazing. I'm italian so I have rough facial hair, but I'm also irish so I have sensitive skin and it was the smoothest my face ever felt without any irritation. But I do agree how expensive it is (around $100/mo) and I couldn't deal with that. But it was nice since I got their weekly starter kit for free as a promotion for a new store that opened.

It's not bad to brave it every now and then as long as you are safe and confident you can make it in. Your work will now think of you as a better employee who they can rely on and it could really help you out in the long run :D

Hi dave, did you enjoy the beautiful weather we had last weekend as well?

I went to the pull n save yesterday and FINALLY got a keyless entry remote for my car. Programmed it and went to town.

Also got a z34 wheel... going tto get the tire this afternoon and get some paint and this week... my project is some wheel paint... im just wondering if anyone could photoshop this for me. And opinions on what would be nicer...

Hi Sergeant Miller :eek: `Greg, if they won't promote you, we will & make you a SSG...Are you now a E-5 or E6 (if I remember the ranks correctly)...When does your enlistment end ? Would you get the promotion `if you re-enlisted ?
If you don't re-enlist ~>? what type of work will you pursue ?
We could start a campaign & we could all email your First Sgt & give our endorsement....Don't give `up & keep do'in your best 2 get 2 where U wanta `be 4-Sure....Good Luck : )

Thanks 'Space. I am a Sergeant (E-5). A re-enlistment would only give me the additional time to promote. It wouldn't help me directly. When I get out; I will probably do the same thing that I do now. I don't mind the Corrections aspect of my job, but I truly enjoy the Law Enforcement side of it.

Dustin - I sure did. Didn't get to go riding though; too much work. Got the oil changed on the bike. Spent most of Saturday building theater set pieces at my son's high school. Spent time on the back porch eating / drinking / being merry with old Army friends that are moving to Huntsville, in town for the weekend looking at schools / houses. Watched The Race Sunday.

If the weather holds this weekend, I'll be wrenching on The Wife's Monte trying to fix the sunroof (making a loud noise when it's about halfway closed) and finding a slow radiator fluid leak. Wish me luck...

Well, the mechanic called and said my g/fs car is ready for us to pick up... the heater is blowing cold, but he thinks its a switch.

Thanks space... I happen to like the wheels as well, I just want them to be darker. Everyones doing black, but as sgt miller said, "I like the dark chrome look" I found the wheel tint- in-a-can... now just to do the evil conversion.

I just got done doing my taxes online and turbotax rooked me for $96.85 wtf....:mad:

Did they recommend you use the premium version, and then charge you another $30 to file for the state??

They try that with me all the time :mad:

something like that, turbotax sucks, next year I'll be looking into something different! Oh well, I'll have some money to put into my Monte, minus the turbotax fees.......:confused:

Lots of snow here today no school for the kiddies. As slow as there plowing the streets they'll probably be off tomorrow too.

#3000!!!!!! Woooohooooo!!!! Finally! LOL:D

Well I got home safe but it was an ordeal. 2 hour delay at the airport in Atlanta. Then they decided to board the plane and wait on the tarmac for another hour until O'Hare gave them the go ahead to take off so we wouldn't loose our place in line for take off. The flight was longer by about 20 minutes in the air and to top it off we didn't have a gate at O'Hare when we landed so we had to unboard the plane outside in the 30 degree weather. My coat was packed away in my suitcase cause it was too warm in Atlanta when we left. So I froze my butt off walking from the plane to the terminal. I won't be flying anywhere anytime soon.
