Morning All,

Cold, wet weekend here. Didn't get much done on the To Do List. But at least it was a relaxing weekend. My wife was out of town visiting a friend in Atlanta, so it was just my son and I all weekend. Enjoyed some downtime together. Even had time for a little online gaming; haven't done that for a while.

Todd - Safe travels. Hope you and the family had fun on vacation. A couple more weeks and I'm taking a week off during my son's spring break.

Space - Nice pic of the palm tree / beach / sunrise. When I was in FL last week I could see the water but had no time to actually enjoy it. Bummer...

Miller - Are you settled in to the new routine at the USDB?

Justin - You need a Mac.

Taz - Hot chocolate sounds really good right now. Too bad I don't have any at the office. I do have some chocolate covered biscotti I could dunk in my coffee I suppose...

 

Definitely settled in now. It is COMPLETELY different from Sill and GTMO. Once you get used to it; it's easy. I am in danger of getting fat because I hardly move all day now.

I'm hyper & can't sit very long & I'm up & down all the time.

At the warehouses, I don't use the golf cart & walk instead or run or use my skateboard to get around (My boss require me to wear knee & elbow pads when I ride in the warehouse: )
Be Creative & you can get a good workout 4-Sure...

Dave: i could push for one but it won't happen my work likes IBM apparently!

speaking of IBM i have a super old IBM thinkpad that loads up faster than this thing, i use it to play my music while i work... still rocking windows 98 on that bad boy!!

i think a main reason it's so slow is everyone is getting here at 8 and logging on which means you have a mass amount of people trying to get onto the server at once, last i heard they where working on upgrading it all but everything takes forever around here!

I'm not even permitted to use my work computers for anything but work It's great that you can... Maybe you should do a write `up and send to your boss on how much more efficient it would be to upgrade your company computer...
Efficient/Speed increases productivity...Increased productivity means more $'s for the company & also hopefully for the employee's. Time is Money, and if you can get things done faster, U R saving Time & Money 4-Sure...Good Luck

 

Yeah, same here. I'd kill for a Mac laptop to replace my Dell at the office. But my office won't go for it. Nothing wrong with the computer I suppose, just the Windows operating system. Not a fan, never have been, never will be. I actually do a lot of work on my iPad now (purchased at my own expense of course). And it's now the only thing I travel with; my boat-anchor laptop stays at the office when I hit the road.

 

Halfway home. Getting ready to leave San Francisco to fly back to Oregon. It is 37 at home.
