jj, you should keep an eye on craigslist & see if you can find an aluminum car or boat port 4 cheap , you know, a modual one. i doubt someone could steal that without notice, lol. or look 4 cheap materials & build your own. it wont impress the neighbors, but it will keep your monte dry & dent free.

I'd love to do that but i live in an apt complex and do not have assigned parking. My luck would be that i buy it and someone else would beat me to. the complex would just tell me that its first come parking.

michael, where did you find the rotors and pads for $200? that's a great deal. inquiring minds are interested.

jj, glad your car wasn't damaged again. we rarely get hail here, i can't believe it's hailed there twice in a month!

work was busy as usual today, and it's raining again. surprise surprise. we were planning on watching the "Prelude To The Dream" tonight but it got rained out. which is fine, since it wouldn't get over till around 11 and i'm sure i'd fall asleep halfway though! so we'll happily sit and watch the yankee game, and i'm about to start dinner (pasta, boring!).

EBAY! The rotors are Kinetic (never had heard of them) but they are made by Powerstop. And as I mentioned before, they come with Powerstop Ceramic pads...They are really good looking rotors.

Here is the link for my 06-07 rotors...weird thing is I just looked for you, and did not see any stuff for 05's...but they have 00,01,02,03,04...What happend to 05!? But if you click on the link for mine, or just type Chevy Monte Carlo brake Rotors in the search part of ebay, look for Brakemotive...Thats who I got mine from. You could shoot him an e-mail and ask if he has the rotors and pads for the 05...I would imagine he does......Let me know if you find anything.

rock on! thanks! i'll check it out. do you know (i'll look but thought i'd ask if you know) if they have just the slotted rotors?

as for the year - everyone says for some reason they always show 00-04 but the stuff all fits the 05. i think it was riggs that just said the same thing on another thread about that.

thanks!!

I'm not sure to be honest if they have slotted only...if you don't find them while searching, e-mail brakemotive and ask...he responds pretty quickly, and I had a good buying experience with him...(more than I can say for MPD, inc. with my CAI )and as you can see for your self, he has excellent feedback on Ebay!
